Molly FryIf you have male and female mollies in the same tank, you pretty much WILL have babies, also known as fry. Molly fry are relatively easy to take care of because they are born fairly big. To feed them, you can just crush up some flake food and they will eat it. I also feed them freeze dried blood worms. One important thing to get for any baby fish is a breeder's net. If you don't get one, one of the other fish will eat it.

OverviewMolly are very easy fish to take care of and are very diverse in colors and patterns. I have had many mollies in my 15 gallon tank and they have been a great addition. The only thing with them is that if you have a male and a few females, you WILL get fry. See the Molly Fry section for more information. Another good tip is either keep it all females or get 2 or 3 females for each male. To tell what gender the fish is, you look at the bottom fin just in front of the fish's tail. Male's fins are pointed and females, like the one in the picture, are rounded. It is also very important to know that mollies need salt. If they are not in a brackish tank, they will have lots of problems.
FeedingMollies are not picky eaters and will eat most flake foods. They can also eat algae off the sides of your tank. If you just put normal flakes in, they should eat it and be fine.
